Empowering Salesian Leaders: 2019

Description:

Empowering Salesian Leaders is a program for young adults ages 17* (must have graduated from high school by start of the program) to 23. The program provides a series of workshops that serve as a way to strengthen each young adult’s faith in light of the Salesian charism and to encourage each young adult’s participation in the Salesian Youth Movement in their local communities and colleges. This program is also designed to assist young adults in transitioning from high school to college or work by providing workshops that are based on issues that they will encounter.

This program also provides the opportunity for each young adult to pray on, reflect, and share on these important moral issues. Workshops include lessons on Salesian Spirituality, service, morality, planning socials and prayer moments, and vocational discernment (married, single, religious life and priesthood).

This program is designed for those who are looking to stay connected to the Salesians during their time in college and young adulthood. Participants should be interested in maintaining roles of leadership in their local communities and colleges. This program further equips each participant to work with the Salesian Youth Movement Coordinator to bring the Salesian Youth Movement to their local work.
