Valdocco: Salesian Family Spirituality Days
(ANS – Turin – January 2) – The Salesian Family Spirituality Days of 2019 will be held at Valdocco (Turin), January 10-13, and will be centered, as always, on the theme of the Rector Major’s strenna. The guideline for this 37th annual conference will therefore be the motto “So that my joy may be in you” (John 15:11) – Holiness for you too.”
The setting for the Salesian Family’s four days of reflection, prayer, sharing, and encounter in the joyful style of Don Bosco, with a vast representation of the 31 groups that comprise the Family, will be the motherhouse of the Salesian charism.
The 300 participants of the Spirituality Days come from all six continents. They will be welcomed on Thursday, January 10, by Fr. Enrico Stasi, provincial of Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta. After the initial greeting, Fr. Eusebio Muñoz, delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, introduce the Days.
The beginning of the Spirituality Days can be followed live on ANS’s Facebook page, which will broadcast the event.
During the four Days, ANS will also transmit other events on its Facebook page. These will include: the presentation of the strenna by the Rector Major on January 10, at 5:45 p.m. (local time); the roundtable discussion entitled “Holiness in the contexts where our life takes place,” on January 12, 3:30 p.m.; and Sunday Mass with the Rector Major presiding, and the final meeting, scheduled for Sunday, January 13, starting at 11 a.m.
In this way, even those who will not be physically present will be able to follow closely the development of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days.
